England U19 vs India U19 2025 Youth ODIs: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to watch out for – full schedule and match timings

Teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is part of India’s U19 squad set to face England U19 in a five-match Youth ODI series starting this Friday.

All games in the India U19 vs England U19 ODI series will begin at 3:30 PM IST.

The series opener will be played in Hove, followed by the second and third matches in Northampton. The last two encounters are scheduled at Worcester.

Ayush Mhatre will captain the Indian U19 side for this series.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who turned out for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025—where he amassed 252 runs in seven matches at an average of 36.00 and an impressive strike rate of 206.56—opened the innings with Mhatre during Tuesday’s warm-up fixture for the Indian U19 team.

In that 50-over warm-up match against the Young Lions Invitational XI, the 14-year-old talent contributed 17 runs from 13 deliveries. India went on to secure a dominant 231-run victory.

Vaibhav has delivered several standout performances for India’s U19 team previously, including a remarkable debut knock.

In September 2024, he etched his name into the record books with a dazzling century on debut in a youth Test against Australia in Chennai.

Aged just 13 years and 188 days, the left-hander hammered 104 off 62 balls before being run out.

His 58-ball century set the record for the fastest hundred by an Indian in youth Tests, and ranks as the second-quickest overall, behind England’s Moeen Ali, who hit a 56-ball ton against Sri Lanka in 2005.

Vaibhav also played a crucial role in India’s run to the U19 Asia Cup final last year.

After this five-match ODI series, the teams will also contest two multi-day games.
